National Journalism Center (NJC) is an unusual venture in journalism
education: Devoted to accuracy, balance, and comprehension of the
issues, it has trained scores of students every year for over a quarter

Founded by M. Stanton Evans in
1977, more than 1,600 alumni have graduated from NJC's 12-week training
sessions, and we estimate some 900 of these have gone on to media and

Searle Young Legal Scholars Research Fellowships Up
to two junior tenure-track faculty members will receive funding to take
a semester-long research leave in order to make major progress on an
important scholarly article.Fellows will receive a stipend set at a
level reasonably comparable to their salary for half of a year. The
stipend will be sufficient to enable fellows to take negotiated leaves
from teaching duties in order to devote themselves full time to
production of a significant piece of legal scholarship. In addition,
fellows will receive advice and feedback on their project from a member
of the Fellowship Selection Committee. The leave should begin no later

Compass Film Academy Compass
Arts started in 1997 as a non-profit production company creating
promotional films for other non-profit organizations traditionally
unable to afford campaigns with high production value. After training a
number of interns on set, it was decided to start offering classes in
producing and screenwriting. In 2000, Compass Academy was born.
Early
on, the Academy only taught a few, multi-week classes. Over time, a
Resident Artist program was established to continue mentoring alumni in
their careers.
In 2006, Compass rolled out a larger, full-year
film curriculum in its move toward a multi-year film program: Compass
Film Academy. Staff and Adjunct Faculty were added to further enhance
the program. Students in the class of 2008 come from nine different
states.

The Russell Kirk Center's Residential Fellows Program
The
Kirk Center's Residential Fellows Program affords students and scholars
the ideal conditions in which they can conduct important research and
writing. Fellows write books, essays, reviews, and theses while staying
at Piety Hill for periods ranging from a few months to one year.
Frequent in-house seminars formalize an already close and stimulating

The Residential Fellows Program is

| The Independent Women's Forum Internships The Independent Women's Forum seeks talented junior fellows for a full-time,
unpaid internship in our Washington, DC office. Internships are available in the
summer, fall semester, and spring semester. Approximate length for the
internship is three months. Junior Fellows assist IWF staff in research,

C.S. Lewis College
The
C.S. Lewis Foundation has long envisioned establishing C.S. Lewis
College in the U.S. as a fully accredited Christian institution of
Great Books and Visual and Performing Arts. That vision is now about to
become a reality as plans move forward to launch C.S. Lewis College on
the beautiful campus in Northfield, Massachusetts, recently acquired
for this purpose from Northfield Mount Hermon School. This property has
been purchased for the use of C.S. Lewis College by Hobby Lobby, a
privately held retail chain of arts and crafts stores based in Oklahoma
City, OK.
Subject to securing all appropriate approvals, C.S. Lewis College currently plans to commence instruction in Fall 2012.
The 2010 Robert Novak Journalism Fellowship Program
In
1994, The Phillips Foundation inaugurated the Robert Novak Journalism
Fellowship Program to award fellowship grants to working print and
online journalists who share the Foundation's mission to advance
constitutional principles, a democratic society and a vibrant free
enterprise system. The fellowships are named in honor of Robert Novak,
a Phillips Foundation founding trustee who provided the inspiration for
this program. Applicants propose a one-year writing project on a topic
of their choosing, focusing on journalism supportive of American
culture and a free society. In addition, the Foundation awards separate
fellowships on the environment, on free enterprise, and on law
enforcement.
Print and online journalists with
less than 10 years of professional experience are eligible to apply for
the fellowship program. Annually, The Phillips Foundation awards
full-time $75,000 platinum fellowships, full-time $50,000 gold
fellowships, part-time $25,000 silver fellowships, and special Alumni
Fund fellowships.
The application deadline for the 2010 Robert Novak Journalism Fellowship Program is February 22, 2010.
